General Manager, Connected Identity and Directory // Microsoft
Joe Long is the General Manager of the Connected Identity and Directory team, driving Microsoft’s strategy in the Identity and Access space, including both the business of Identity and the platform. Long joined Microsoft in 1991 after graduating from Reed College with a degree in Physics. He started in product support, moving from there to Developer Relations, where he worked as vertical evangelist driving technology adoption in the insurance and financial services industries. In 1995, Long transitioned to the product teams, working on Microsoft Transaction Server. Prior to assuming his current position in 2005, Long managed much of the Microsoft middleware stack including COM+, MS-DTC, MSMQ, RPC, and half of the Windows Communication Foundation.

Stuart Kwan joined Microsoft in 1996 after completing a BASC in Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.
